Nearly every garden has weeds at some point or another. Even if you’re a gardener and have made an oath to keep your garden and its precious soil natural, despite your good intentions and morals, you probably still get those dreaded invasive weeds. But no matter how frustrated those weeds make you, stay calm and stay natural. This article gives us three effective means for ridding our beautiful gardens of weeds–naturally.
- Vodka. If you happen to have weeds in direct sunlight, this vodka cocktail may work for getting rid of the weeds. All you need is one cup of vodka, six cups of water, a dash of dish soap, and a spray bottle. Mix all of the ingredients in the bottle and spray the weeds and they’ll be gone, dried up, in no time. Be extra cautious not to misfire on your garden flowers.
- Vinegar. If you can manage to catch weeds early in their growth, it will be easier to get rid of them. Their roots are not as strong yet. This is especially true, if you’re using the classic vinegar method to kill weeds. Pour some vinegar on the baby weeds and they’ll be gone in a few days.
- Boiled Water. Weed killers don’t get much easier than water. Simply pour boiled water on any weeds you’d like to kill. The weeds will be dead in hours.
These have been a few ways to kill weeds that have already sprouted. But, remember, you can always prevent weeds with a good, natural mulch. Read on for more details on weed management.
